Award winning author Valerie Massey Goree resides in the Pacific Northwest, in a small 'village by the bay'. Born in South Africa, Valerie grew up in Rhodesia—now Zimbabwe. Her desire to become a teacher brought her to the US. At university, she met her husband, Glenn. After they married, they served as missionaries in Rhodesia for six years where their two children were born.
When the family returned to the USA, Glenn pastored a small church, and Valerie began teaching, serving twenty-five years in the public school arena working with special needs students. After she retired, Valerie focused on her writing. She won the American Christian Fiction Writers Genesis Award in the Romantic Suspense category.
Valerie has always had at least one pet. At one time the family had five cats and two dogs. Sadly, Penny is their only pet now.
Penny does not like it when Valerie sits with her laptop on her lap. After all, the lap is Penny's place.
